Sorry people,

I have been quiet for a while - first I had to celebrate my first Halloween. I went as a Pumpkin and I think I did a marvelous job. Especially my backend looked pretty scary, didn't it?

And then, once Halloween was over, I had my next "First". This time it was my first Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, my parents decided that it would be terrific to have me hunt the turkey - dead or alive. Only problem was: walking hasn't been that high on my agenda for the past 6 months. So I decided to catch the turkey with a more low-level approaching strategy. You can see me here on one of the practice runs we did:

And here you can see me on my very first Thanksgiving.
I made a fabulous Mile-High-Apple Pie, you can see the spoon still in my hands:

And once the party was over, I happily enjoyed my first Budweiser (and for the ignorant among you, it was the real Budweiser).

Emily, I'm so glad to hear you had so many wonderful firsts! You were an adorable pumpkin and your mile-high apple pie looked delicious! I'm impressed with how quickly you reached that spoon in your turkey test-run...you're getting so big and growing up so fast! I'm sure you're giving your Mama & Papa MUCH joy! Hopefully we'll hear again from you soon!

Emily, I'm quiet impressed and very amused by all the adventure going on around you! So far I'm just wondering how the Turkey-hunt went on once you got the spoon. Did you put some poison on the spoon and then in the turkey's lunch? Did you slay the turkey with the spoon?

All the best
Philipp

PS: Really sure that beer is the appropriate drink for a 6-month-old? Better leave it for your dad - for yourself: Die Milch machts!

Emily is so big and so cute! Glad you guys have settled in to your new city. I trust Erin has already registered to vote. Now get down to the White House and teach little Emily how to protest!
