Elephant

So I was an elephant - for two days, first on October 30th at my preschool and then on Halloween itself.
Max was a pumpkin - a not so little pumpkin. And what were you?

Herr Müller-Lüdenscheid

I am learning to share my life with my (not so) new brother Max and one of things that I am helping out with is washing him:

For the record: Die Ente blieb draußen.

Anyways, we have more pictures of
Me washing Max and him being clean;
Apple picking and mowing the lawn;
Our double stroller;
Me, coming back in and doing one of my favorite things - reading;
Our trip to Bedford Springs, PA in preparation for Halloween

The next entry will be about Halloween, stay tuned

Colorado

Hello again,

It's been quiet for a while and a lot has happened. Max is eating and eating and eating. He smiles now. A lot actually. He turned over. He sleeps more at night but he is still an earlier riser. And he can fly. We went to Colorado from September 9-19, first to go to a wedding near Boulder, and then we spent three nights in Breckenridge followed by three nights in Colorado Springs.

I had a hard time adjusting to the thin air, but Mama and Papa loved the fact that I slept like a rock.

But before that trip, I had my first day at pre-school. I am a big girl now.

Enough of that, here are some pictures.

Max

My brother Max was born on Thursday, July 2nd.
I have two pictures from Thursday.

It might be a few more days for him in the hospital, and we will keep you posted with more pictures on this blog once he is home.

Please send my Papa (aka Matthias) an e-mail if you would like to get an e-mail once we post new pictures.

Second Quarter

Before my life changes, here are a few pictures from the second quarter 2009.

First a few impressions from Easter, my second birthday, a few bike rides and hiking trips and some of my friends from around the block.

Second, I went to the Zoo.

And third, I looooove Nutella

Vacation in Georgia and South Carolina

In March, I hit the road with Mama and Papa and headed south. We went to Savannah, GA and Charleston, SC for a week.

We had a good time, though I am not a big fan of hotel rooms. Well, the vista was great from our hotel in Savannah, as you can see in those pictures, here.

We first went to Savannah for four days and then to Charleston for two days before we visited our friends Anna, Lei, and Jody in North Carolina. I am considering a career as a rock star, but see - and hear - for yourself.

P.S.: You can adjust the timing of the slide show with the minus and plus buttons before and after seconds. The default is set to 3 seconds which might be too fast.

Schwabens Stolz

I know I represent Schwaben here in DC, so I wanted to let you all know how good a job I am doing.

But before we turn to that, let me tell you that I am sick and tired of winter. My parents put me into this thick coat which makes me look like Bibendum.

Then they shlep me to the Capitol 1 1/2 weeks before the coldest inauguration ever.

And lastly, I have to go to MA for a short weekend, so that I can be in snow...

To top it off, I also got my first haircut. I was not happy (the matter of fact is that I just woke up and I held on veeeery tightly to that phone of mine).

But now to the real issue: Putzen, Waschen, Aufräumen, Saugen, Wischen, Kärchern: First a couple of pictures and then a short movie-clip.

Bye 2008, Hallole 2009

The wonderful year 2008 is over and I was really lazy towards the end, no blog for two months.
So let me wrap it up and allow us to start with 2009.

I put together a little slideshow for you about the following:

My trip to Massachusetts in October
My Halloween as a pumpkin
My Gutsle-baking

Let's close 2008, things will get even better in 2009 and plenty of new blog entries.
