April got even better than April 1. We went to Hilton Head Island for our almost annual vacation in South Carolina. Given how late Easter was, it was no surprise to have nice warm water. Well for the first two and a half days. Then Emily got sick and the weather turned cold again. It feels like we cannot shake off that long, cold winter this season. We still had fun at the water, found jellyfish and constructed castles but they were built on sand and didn't last very long. Max decided he is meant to watch everything through binoculars and we also organized the playground.
We came back home right before Easter so the Easter bunny knew exactly where he (or she??) needed to go. And this year we didn't have a sick child on Easter so no need to leave a window open in the basement for the bunny to come in.
At the end of the month we had our other annual event: Emily turned 7. This year she got roller blades. Take that, knee!
