DSW

Heut mal wieder ein Deutsch-Schmankerl. Wir hatten uns sicherheitshalber für einen Kindergartenplatz in der Deutschen Schule Washington beworben. Wie sich herausstellte, ist es vielleicht dem Namen nach die Deutsche Schule, aber die Organisation derselben lässt die Italiener vor Neid erblassen, und die Deutschkentnisse treiben mir die Schamesröte ins Gesicht.

Hier ein Brief, auf hochoffziellen Papier der DSW.

Elephant

So I was an elephant - for two days, first on October 30th at my preschool and then on Halloween itself.
Max was a pumpkin - a not so little pumpkin. And what were you?

Colorado

Hello again,

It's been quiet for a while and a lot has happened. Max is eating and eating and eating. He smiles now. A lot actually. He turned over. He sleeps more at night but he is still an earlier riser. And he can fly. We went to Colorado from September 9-19, first to go to a wedding near Boulder, and then we spent three nights in Breckenridge followed by three nights in Colorado Springs.

I had a hard time adjusting to the thin air, but Mama and Papa loved the fact that I slept like a rock.

But before that trip, I had my first day at pre-school. I am a big girl now.

Enough of that, here are some pictures.

My brother Max was born on Thursday, July 2nd.
I have two pictures from Thursday.






It might be a few more days for him in the hospital, and we will keep you posted with more pictures on this blog once he is home.

Second Quarter

Before my life changes, here are a few pictures from the second quarter 2009.
